This neuro linguistic programming and hypnotherapy practice group in Newcastle this coming March will be exploring how to use the principles of New Code NLP to change repetitive behavioural patterns by creating explosive and powerful states that mediate new behaviours.
NLP has two fundamental ways to change behaviour. One is changing the way we all re-present our internal world, the other, the topic of exploration in March is creating a state, specifically a high level and neurologically wired, turned on and activated neuro-biological state that creates the proper conditions to drive a new behaviour based in intentional change.
One principle of New Code NLP change is creating what are called high performance or equally know noting states. As a direct analogy this equates to the Buddhist no-mind or Zen no-mind state with a little twist. New Code NLP games are designed to engage the whole nervous system and are characterised, quite rightly as achieving a state of grace.
You might not quite achieve a state of grace, though you will, activate your left and right hemisphere and activate, in graceful performance, the left and right sides of your body. Inside or alongside of this you will be activating ( or engaging ) your conscious mind. The intention of the New Code NLP game ( not you intentional outcome for change ) is to as fully as possible create a state, as non-context specific as possible that is engaging as much of you as possible in terms of neuro-biological commitment as is possible.
The elegance of this process is the transference of states from context to context. The results can be quite amazing and of course doing this more than once brings even better change results.
