Hypnotic Somatic Parts Integration : Newcastle NLP & Hypnosis Practice Group : Wednesday 5th December – Nigel Hetherington

Hypnotherapy Practice, Hypnotherapy Supervision, Trancecafe No Comments »

Many though not all change workers will be familiar with the concept of psychological parts. We are not really made up of parts or competing ego identities but ‘parts work’ in NLP and hypnotherapy provides a particularly resonant and highly workable model through which to affect lasting and ecological change.

Parts work, though not by that name is present in practically all psychological change process. Parts work comes in many forms such as Freud’s id, ego and super-ego, Jung’s Archetypes of the individual and collective unconscious, Berne’s parent, adult and child and Erickson’s conscious and unconscious mind.

We will also be familiar with common every day phrases that are indicative of psychological parts in action. “The devil made me do it.”, “He sabotaged himself again.”, “It’s like a part of me stopped me doing it.”

This Decembers Trance Cafe will explore a particular aspect of hypnotic parts integrations based on process and techniques from Stephen Gilligans work in Generative Trance. Using our body to represent what can individually be described as two dystonic states, we aim to move rhythmically, in trance, between the two states.

We can represent the problem / solution space linguistically as “I want to do X but Y stops me.” And from this starting point our intention to a neuro-somatic solution in co-created resource space.

The June offering of the Trance Cafe is being offered by the one and only Harry Knox who is my close friend and mentor and is one of the best facilitators and transformative change consultants that I know. He is also dangerously funny, client centred and horribly pervasive.

This coming June Harry is offering an open and participatory discussion called ‘Any Questions?’ So the invite here is to bring your good self and absolutely any questions you have regarding NLP, Hypnotherapy, Change Work, Comedy, Humour, God, Religion, Politics, The Climate, Family Life, Therapy, Building A Profitable Practice, Swearing, Phobias, Weight Loss, Fishing and the Meaning Of Life to name a few potential topics.

Harry very often provides the stimulation for the most unexpected and deeply meaningful context for real change, so personal change is on the agenda too.  Anticipate an evening of laughter, humour and learning … Not to be missed … Certainly to be experienced!

Harry will also be facilitating on the Master Practitioner NLP course beginning in September 2012.

The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself, the more energy you will have.

Norman Vincent Peale

Spirituality In Coaching and Therapy – Newcastle NLP and Hypnosis Cafe Monday 7th February 7-9pm : Gosforth Library Newcastle NE3 3HD : £10 Including Biscuits. Book online below.

When we come direct from heart space we create an energetic connection that surpasses the concept of empathy or our multi-sensory capacity. In doing so we create the neutral void that two souls can share to explore, discover, test, challenge and shift. For us, this is our recipe for lasting and generative change.

So in this café Paula and Nigel will facilitate your unpacking of the deeper and more connecting ways in which yours and our therapeutic alliances work. How they are formed, how they grow and the effect and impact they have on our and the world.

We will open and share our thoughts and processes of how to develop co-created alliances by exploring the concepts of projections and reflections prior to, during and after a dynamic interaction. We will also consider projection and reflection in terms of attracting clients into your life for mutual healing and purposeful learnings.

Every person we meet has something to teach us, and every person has something to say that only they can say. We both believe we attract the clients that will help and be beneficial to our ongoing development. This may also include ‘healing’ your past. viz a vie we meet together to co-create something that is more than mutually beneficial …

From this place we’ll look at working from heart space that dynamically co-creates a change process as being fundamental in effective change and evolution work. We will show you how this offers a place that goes way beyond our understanding of rapport. Indeed it transcends the thoughts that if we shared some common value, belief, outcomes, goals and even purpose we can go anywhere in the relationship.

Mastering Hypnotic Language | Newcastle Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Practice Group

Hypnotherapy Practice, Hypnotherapy Supervision, Therapist Practice & Supervision 5 Comments »

December, Wednesday 1st is the last gathering of like minds in 2010. The Trance Cafe in Newcastle upon Tyne is Mastering Hypnotic Language with Clinical Hypnotherapist Nigel Hetherington.

The topic is the STRUCTURE of hypnotic or influential communications with our selves and others. This is an opportunity to expand and equally condense our skills in HOW to ethically motivate and actualise all people towards a more complete authenticity in their life, relationships and business.

Specifically we will be using language as a way to powerfully influence and direct us towards our goals and objectives in a person to person, person to culture and person to society way, specifically with the language we use.

The structure of hypnotic and influential communications basically has two parts. Firstly the integral intention that drives us and secondly in how we as members of our culture and society use our words and values to share and hopefully influence each and everyone we communicate with.

What Lies In Between Lives?

For many years now there has been great interest in past-life regression within the world of hypnosis. Many of us find fascinating the opportunity to discover a little of what has made us what we are today. Even if the idea of past lives is not what you choose to believe, the power of past lives as a metaphor still gives this experience a unique power that can have positively dramatic effects on even the most sceptic people.

This October’s Trance Cafe offers us a chance to go into and beyond the realms of past lives and to take a sneak peek into what lies in between our lives. Putting it another way, we’ll be looking at what we get up to in the moment between the end of one earthly life and the start of the next.

Why not come to the Trance Cafe and discover just exactly what you get up to:

November at the Trance Cafe – Newcastle and North East Hypnosis Practice and Supervision Group is Improvisation Training – Wednesday November 4th.

The focus of the session at the Trance Cafe – The Newcastle Hypnosis Practice Group is Improvisation Training.

Improvisation Training is of particular utility to therapists because inside the guise of having a great deal of fun, it is also teaching personal congruence, state control and flexibility of behaviour.

This improvisation training will of course be a lot of fun and also directly applicable in terms of personal congruence and utilisation practice for therapists and hypnotherapists.

The evening will consist of structured exercises for the purpose of creating behavioural flexibility inside of structures and expanding personal boundaries.

The May event for the Trance Cafe – Newcastle Hypnosis Practice and Supervision Group is Core Transformation – Wednesday May 6th

Core Transformation is the excellent work of Connirae Andreas. This is surely one of the most profoundly connecting and deeply healing NLP / Hypnosis processes out there. And it can also ( like most healing processes ) be used to get more of what you want too.

A way to get deeply in touch with the self and discover the positive purpose and intention behind perceived problematic behaviours, emotions or thinking. Using Core Transformation process we can reach ‘core states’ and use these powerful states of being to transform old ways of being into new, congruent and healthier ways of being with a real sense of gratitude for who we are.
