Brief Grief Therapy – Newcastle Hypnotherapy and NLP Practice Group : May 1st
Trancecafe April 7th, 2013Newcastle NLP & Hypnotherapy Practice group explores one of the most rapid and cutting edge methods of moving beyond serious loss, grief and bereavement with one of the best known and highly respected therapists in the North, Harry Knox.
We will all experience loss in our life. Sometimes it can literally feel impossible to let the past go and with gratitude move on and into the present. Harry is someone who seems to get genuine results from what many could regard as lost causes.
Harry’s ‘Brief Grief Therapy‘ model addresses what Freud called melancholia. That is when a person can’t recover from loss and a reactive depression has all the hall marks of a clinical depression. Using personal history to recreate the good and the bad, the happy and sad and another host of complementary experiences related to loss, Harry engenders a series of states and realities that seem to help shift and transform intense negative and painful states into something way more balanced.
A powerful and empowering process for change workers to incorporate into their practice yet the Brief Grief Therapy model has more applications than working with loss, reactive depression and deep guilt.
